Terms and Conditions for Vanakkam Express

Welcome to Vanakkam Express! By using our courier services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Weight Calculation & Charges:
    • The shipping charges will be based on the higher of the actual weight or the volume weight.
    • Volume weight is calculated as:
      • (Length x Width x Height) / 5000 for shipments sent via DHL, UPS, or FedEx.
      • (Length x Width x Height) / 4000 for shipments sent via Aramex New Zealand.
  2. Transit Time:
    • The estimated transit time is 5-10 working days, depending on customs clearance, flight availability, and the destination country.
  3. Customs Fees, Duties, and Taxes:
    • All customs fees, duties, and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and are subject to the regulations of the destination country’s government.
  4. Duty & Claims:
    • Claims for damages, delays, or other issues related to the shipment will be based on the invoice value of the goods being shipped.
  5. No Claims for Delays, Damages, or Customs Issues:
    • Vanakkam Express is not liable for any delays, damages, taxes, customs-related issues, or duties that may arise during the shipping process.
  6. Claims for Missing Items:
    • In case of a missing item, a parcel opening video is mandatory to file a claim.
  7. Total Lost Shipments:
    • In the case of a total loss, the maximum claim amount will be the invoice value + freight charges or ₹25,000, whichever is lower, per Air Waybill (AWB).
  8. Claim Notification:
    • Any claims related to lost, damaged, or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery completion. After this period, claims will not be processed.
  9. Legal Jurisdiction:
    • Any legal disputes arising from the use of Vanakkam Express services will be governed and resolved under the laws of Tamil Nadu, with jurisdiction in Salem District Court.

Refund and Return

Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 5 days after receiving your item to
request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it,
unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or
proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on
how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a
return will not be accepted.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the
refund was approved or not. You’ll be automatically credited to your original payment
method within 10 business days if approved. Please remember it can take some time for
your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Shipping Policy

Processing Time
All orders are delivered within 7 days business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered
on weekends or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be
delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there is a
significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or phone.
Shipping Time
Domestic Shipping: Orders will be delivered within 2 weeks from the date of order
confirmation. Please note that delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our
control, such as weather conditions, customs delays, and other unforeseen circumstances.
